After producing an extensive article in the magazine last year about
designers who create, produce and sell their own handmade goods, we thought about building on the whole designer-as-maker trend. Wouldn't it be cool to have a place at the HOW Conference where designers could sell their handmade wares?
And so, the
Designers Marketplace was born. Catch it on Thursday, June 25 in Austin.
Anyone attending the conference can come and browse the design-savvy goodies, and if you're interested in selling your stuff, you can register here on the conference website (the $50 fee covers our costs for table rentals and signage). Start stocking your inventory now, because we expect a lot of interest.
Learn more about the
Designers Marketplace -- in the meantime, check out a few of the goods that will be for sale. We'll introduce you to the designers selling in the Marketplace in the coming weeks.
