Overheard On The Forum

Microsoft just bought Veer. Full story here. I hope this part is actually true:
Under the deal Veer and its 170 employees will continue to operate relatively autonomously from Corbis, which Gates serves as chairman of the board.

Microsoft didn't actually buy them. Bill Gates did. Bill Gates owns Corbis, but Corbis isn't owned by Microsoft. (Just like Pixar wasn't owned by Apple).
