Best of the Blog 2012: Most Creative Business Card Design Ever?
2012 December 27
Even if this concrete business card by French design agency Murmure isn’t the most creative business card ever, it does use the most unusual material I’ve ever seen put into action. What are the best business card ideas you’ve seen for a creative agency?
Playing with the notion of scales, Murmure created a set of business cards made of concrete. This material, so characteristic of our environment, was enhanced by using the smallest and most refined communication support. The refinement and the technique required for the typography highlight the harshness and the roughness of the used material.

Is this for Fred Flinstone? Very clever.
LOVE the idea and design, but very impractical. I wouldn’t want to carry that around in my pocket.
I was thinking the same thing. Where would you put that?
Holy crap, these are pretty fantastic. I would love to hold this.
The great thing is if you’re clients giving you a really hard time you can Bonk him over the head with it.
Great concept… I agree that people are not going to want to carry it around, but I do think that the majority would save the card… and they would always remember it.
not very practical. they would break wouldn’t they?
Sometimes things so over the edge just isn’t practical..
Horrible design. While some many keep it as a paperweight, others will toss it. I’ve seen this done in wood, denim and various other materials. Any agency that hands me a business card like this is telling me they don’t know how to spend their money or really care about the environment.
gimmick.
Hi,The design is very nice and different. But impractical.
we can give the same effect on the visiting card paper in photoshop. So,it will be great in design and practical to carry too.
It’s not about practicality. It’s about setting yourself apart from the competition. No, I wouldn’t carry this in my wallet, but I would keep it on my desk somewhere. I would show it off to colleagues. The point is, I would remember this company whenever I needed any of the services it provides.
Expensive, messy and cumbersome, but these cards land the company one good client, isn’t that a successful business card?
