Presidential Order: Printer Tackles 1M Inauguration Invites
As federal officials prepare for a crowd of about 4 million for the inauguration of the 44th president, Barack Obama, history is about to be made. And a printing company, Precise Continental in Brooklyn, New York, played their part in the fanfare (as well as Neenah and Buzzink) by printing 1 million official invitations for the inauguration—engraved and complete with the inaugural gold seal. The union shop’s story appeared in the New York Times as well as other local and national media outlets. The folks at Precise Continental reflect proudly of their involvement and they praise Obama for sticking to his guns when it came to selecting a FSC ( Forest Stewardship Council) certified printer. Coraline!
I saw brief preview of this stop-motion animated movie recently and thought it looked cool. Then I stumbled on the movie website created by Wieden+Kennedy and now my stomach aches in anticipation. Everything in the movie is made by hand: all the sets, all the puppets, all the props. There are little video snippets around the site that give a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the amazing miniatures. It will blow your mind! Posted by Megan
