Graphing the Fall
I loved this graphic by the remarkable designer Paul Sahre in Sunday's New York Times Week In Review section, accompanying an article on the stock market's decline. He pretty much sums up everyone's sentiment these days: Typography

Really?
The Sci Fi channel is changing its name and logo to Syfy. Ugh. Not only is the word mark horsey and unattractive, it's doesn't have an obvious pronunciation if you're not already familiar with the channel. old logo new logo Typography

Star Campaign Shines for Club/Pub Promo
Bunch finished a year of brand development and promo campaigns for the Star of Bethnal Green, a pub-meets-club in the heart of Bethnal Green. The promo campaign of posters and fliers prominently features the star as it transforms to suit the season or occasion. New Year fireworks, January sales, Valentines tattoos, March toy soldiers and an April Babylon comprise the latest in the poster campaign. Posted by Jessie Just for Fun

Pretty Pretty Paper
Pentagram worked with Marian Bantjes to design a new thistle logo for Strathmore then turned it into a gorgeous pattern to use on packaging, trade-show booth and more. Asked to refresh the Strathmore Paper
brand presentation for our longtime client Mohawk Fine Papers,
Pentagram asked the designer Marian Bantjes to reinterpret the famous
Strathmore thistle. This mark was then used to create a pattern for new
packaging of Strathmore Paper reams. The goal was to project a stronger
signature presence for the brand in business-to-business and
direct-to-consumer retail settings.

The Easter Bunny's Most Debilitating Vice
I love this illustration by Brooklyn-based creative Morgan Blair. In the weeks leading up to Easter, tiny malted milk eggs are also my biggest vice. Posted by Megan Illustration
