NOLA
I just got back from vacation to see family and hang out in New Orleans. My latest online obsession is personalized Google maps, so I made one that tracks all the places we went in NOLA. So much visual inspiration in a relatively small area! Posted by Megan Just for Fun

Job Of The Day
User Interface Designer Emma, Nashville, TNEmma is looking for a talented user interface designer to join one of
the most interesting and unique technology companies around. This
is a role that meshes form and function, taking complex processes and
heaps of data and presenting them in the most simple, clean and stylish
way possible. Already known for its easy-to-use interface, Emma is
looking to break new ground in its future interface work by
incorporating the best of modern application design with Emma's own
unique style and flare to create one of the more unique customer
experiences around. To that end, the ideal candidate will understand
the interplay between design, development and data and possess a
natural ability to picture how people will use something and come up
with the best way possible to present it. You'll be comfortable
converting existing mockups to a finished XHMTL/CSS product, and you'll
be equally comfortable creating unique interface concepts from scratch.
Above all, you'll be adept at creating light, efficient, fluid designs
that are simple and fun to use, and you'll enjoy being part of a team,
whose team mascot may or may not be the lemur. What can we say - we
really like lemurs. Posted by Megan Industry News

Invite Friends to HOW, Score Some Goodies
For a limited time, you can get $100 toward any HOW product, including events, competition entry fees, magazines, books and webinars. All you have to do is convince a friend or colleague to register for the HOW Design Conference—there will be a place on the online registration form for them to give you credit. Get two friends to sign up and you'll get $200 worth of goodies. Three friends = $300 in HOW products. (Do you see where we're going with this?) If someone credits you with their registration, we'll send you an email with instructions for choosing your HOW goods. So get out there and spread the word to every designer in your address book. Here's an easy way to do it. Events

Just in Time for Spring
My favorite weekend activity is our every-Saturday-morning trip to the public market in Cincinnati. Especially now that the nice lady from Whippoorwill Farm is selling spring flowers, including my very fave, ranunculus. So I loved spotting this clever and green idea for reusing tin cans on design*sponge's fun Weeder's Digest column. Just for Fun
