Brown-Forman Corporation is an independent, publicly-traded producer
and marketer of premium spirits, wines, and other adult beverages,
including Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whisky, Finlandia Vodka, Southern
Comfort, Fetzer Vineyard California Wines, Korbel California
Champagnes, Sonoma-Cutrer Estate Bottled Wines, Tuaca, Chambord, and,
Herradura and el Jimador Tequila.
Scope: Responsible for producing and
assisting in the production of a wide variety of brand/corporate
production design projects for wine, spirit and corporate brands.
Responsible for and assists the Art Directors and/or Design Managers in
creative design, project management and design production of assigned
brand design projects. Assists in managing press checks, project
timelines, budgets and schedules for all assigned brand design
projects. Works collaboratively with the Director, Creative Design, Art
Directors and other design team members on the creation and execution
of design projects. Personally performs and contributes design work as
needed. Manages design projects with the supervision and support of the
designer, design assistant and outside freelance resources.
Basic Function: Under
the supervision of the Art Director and/or Production Design Manager
and through working closely with the Designers and Design Assistants,
the Senior Designer assists in the project management and design
production of assigned brand design projects.
Manages, produces and
assists in the design and production of assigned brand design projects.
Assists in the management of costs, project timelines and production
schedules. Works with internal and external resources to source
innovative printing and manufacturing techniques. Responsible for
materials selection, primary and secondary package design and artwork
creation. Interfaces with brand teams to ensure design directions are
consistent with brand strategy as well as other marketing
communications. Creates original design and artwork as well makes

Ideas That Matter Sappi this week announced the winners of its 2009 Ideas That Matter grants. The program funds the work of designers nationwide, supporting printed projects for nonprofit organizations of all stripes. Sappi awards $1 million in grants each year globally, with $400,000 going toward projects in North America. This is the program's 10th anniversary.
