Graphic Design Job of the Day: Creative Director
Looking for a New York design job? Infusion is looking for a Creative Director to head the company’s entire unit of creative personnel.
The Creative Director is the head of an entire unit of creative personnel either defined by industry vertical (financial services, hospitality, government), or by geography (London, Toronto, Dubai). Creative Directors are mainly responsible for and evaluated by the quality of the output of a multi-disciplinary team that includes user interface designers, visual designers, copywriters, Web developers, motion designers–basically any role that contributes to achieving high-impact digital strategy and award-winning experience design in Infusion’s work. The role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated and entrepreneurial in style.
Conceive of high-end conceptual, design, and brand marketing solutions for clients across a range of digital platforms including Web, intranet, extranet, mobile, kiosk, touch-screen, and whatever is next.
Inspire and directly mentor creative staff.
Ensure Infusion’s visual and interaction design work is on par with the best in the industry.
Be comfortable generating innovative and breakthrough ideas for clients.
Explain, internally and externally, rationale for creative choices.
Drive the creative aspects of new business pitches from conception through to final presentation.
Create lasting client relationships based on value, quality, and responsiveness.
Stay current on emerging trends in online consumer behavior, technologies and design.
Help grow the agency’s reputation by working with all departments to ensure the creative output is world-class and continuously exceptional.
Own the insights and direction of Creative Briefs.
Recruit new talent to help build up and retain one of the best teams in the business.
Remain focused on the metrics and results of our projects and help guide optimization efforts after launch.
Keep the team continually engaged on profitable endeavors (with the assistance of Creative Operations) to drive revenue growth.
Handle staff evaluations and administration.
Contribute to evolution of the design process within Infusion.
Represent Infusion as a thought leader in digital experience strategy and design by participating in creative communities and judging competitions.
Seven or more years focused on the digital space at any known agency, design boutique or media company.
Strong portfolio of digitally-focused work.
Management experience with creative and technical teams of seven or more personnel.
Solid experience creating impactful visual design and identity work.
Subject matter expertise in user-centered design, including basic research and requirements definition, information architecture, UI design, and overall usability principles for Websites and applications.
Fantastic presentation and communication skills (both written and public speaking).
Direct leadership involvement on at least seven significant Website or digital initiatives for world-class clients.
Prior experience with emerging interaction platforms such as mobile, iPad, touch-screen, kiosks, a major plus.
Recognized industry awards.
