Picturelife, Chicago

Looking for a Chicago design job? Picturelife is looking for an interactive designer with  HTML and CSS experience  to join their new in-house creative team.

Picturelife is a Chicago based, venture-backed startup, founded by the founder of Threadless, with a rapidly growing customer-base, looking to add a Senior Designer to its team.

Our Product
A beautiful and seamless photo backup and retrieval system, comprised of robust Web, OSX, iOS, Android, and Windows clients. Rather than hearing more about it, go play: https://picturelife.com/

Our Team & Culture
First and foremost, we love what we do and we love working with each other. It’s as important for us to find someone whose company we enjoy as it is to fill this role. Everyone at Picturelife—from our founders to our latest hire—is already accomplished at what we do, but each of us is still eager to learn more and push both technical and intellectual boundaries as we work with each other and our community.

This Position
What is the role of a “Senior Designer”? We are looking for a designer who can collaborate with our team on the future of Picturelife’s UI and fully own Picturelife’s day-to-day design execution. We’re not looking for someone who wants to be plugged in to a large team, but someone who wants to take major responsibility for the future of Picturelife’s visual design across our web, desktop, and mobile applications.

We expect applicants to be advanced and creative, and also capable of implementing their designs using HTML and CSS.

All positions at Picturelife are very self-led. We work extraordinarily close together but are not looking for our employees to do only what is asked of them. We are a collaborative team and therefore to fill this role means being comfortable developing around one’s own priorities for the application while balancing the larger goals and objectives of the company.
