Kidd Poster

Typically, when a noted designer has a speaking gig, s/he designs a poster to promote the event. The newly formed Society of Design tried something different: putting out a call for entries to its membership to create the poster, with the winner to be selected by the speaker him/herself. For a February 4 speaking engagement by Chip Kidd, SOD received 30 submissions. Kidd chose a design by Aaron Eiland, and SOD donated $100 to a charity of Eiland’s choice (the One Laptop Per Child project).
